Arinna Raised $4M for Ultra‑Thin Space Solar Panels
Arinna, founded by CEO Koosha Nazif and CTO Alex Shearer, has raised $4 million in seed funding to develop ultrathin solar panels for spacecraft.
The new material, based on transition‑metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), creates atomically thin semiconductors that are both flexible and more durable than traditional space‑grade silicon panels.
With an efficiency 32 % higher than current technologies, the panels are designed to operate for 15 years in orbit and can be manufactured using a roll‑to‑roll process.
SpaceCadet Ventures led the round, seeing Arinna’s power solution as a key unlock for the next generation of satellite and space‑station infrastructure.
